Cordyceps is a genus of parasitic fungi that grows on the larvae of insects.
Cordyceps Militaris is currently grown on brown rice in commercial environments.In Asia the fruiting body is cooked as a mushroom in dishes like chicken soup, pork bone soup and hot pot. The fruit can be added to salads.
The fruiting bodies kind of look like Cheetos.
